The park includes play structures for 2-5 and 5-12, a swimming pool, poolhouse, community center, youth opportunity center, a soccer field, a basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and picnic areas. The park has many amenities which are widely used by members of the community. The community center and swimming pool provide a place for many recreation activities. There are many improvements planned for this park. The City will provide a new outdoor artificial turfed soccer field, and the swimming pool house is currently under construction. Recently, the Youth Opportunity center --which provides events and activities for teens -- was recently completed in Winter of 2007. While I was at the site, there were several people using the play ground equipment, and playing in the open field spaces.
There is a pool, staff, a skate park, picnic tables, and plenty of shade.
