Field Sports Pier 40 Greenwich Village Cross at W. Houston St. and Clarkson St. Four facilities The Hudson River Park Trust operates four fields at Pier 40: Indoor Youth field: 15 yard x 21 yard all-purpose indoor turf field with lights for night play. For YOUTH - 17 and under ONLY. Rooftop field: 40 yard x 70 yard all-purpose outdoor turf field with lights for night play. Courtyard fields: Two 65 yard x 110 yard all-purpose outdoor turf fields with lights for night play. Hours of operation: 6am—midnight, every day. Individuals may play at times when permitted groups are not scheduled. Permit required: All groups wishing to use the fields must apply for a separate written permit for each seasonal session from the Hudson River Park Trust (unless otherwise posted). Permits are issued for a full season (13 weeks). To apply for a permit, go to "Obtain a Permit" on our home page.
