Immaculate Conception School is a great place and with this new playground it has an opportunity to become even greater. It's good that the children have an opportunity to engage in another type of activity instead of just walking or sitting in the benches.

this space provides a great healthy outlet for the kids at this school who live in a neighborhood otherwise REALLY park-poor. This gives them a safe place to PLAY as children should, let's give them some more equipment so they can really enjoy it more!

The kids love it! They keep moving during their entire recess whereas before many just sat and ate their snacks.

As a teacher, I can see the difference in our students the playground has made. Our students run and play every second they can. They are exercising without realizing it!

Immaculate Conception School is a great school. I have fond memories of being a student there from 1982-1990. I am so happy to see how much it has grown. The new addition to the school building and playground are absolutely amazing.

I have worked with the Principal and staff over 3 years as a member of the ICS Advisory School Board and can assure you of the need and applaud you for the help you have given this school. ICS has given a chance for a better life to the children in one of the poorest communities in Los Angeles. Thank you for your support. Paul L, Martin

The Immaculate Conception School (ICS) playspace is a rich little oasis for inner-city Los Angeles children who live in an area where there are few other recreational opportunities. The school recently opened its playground after years in which the space was occupied by classroom trailers. The trailers were removed after a small new addition was built onto a school that dates from 1919. Many of ICS's children (pre-K thru 8) spend their entire day at the school. To enhance the playground area would be a marvelous benefit for them and for their much-loved neighborhood school.
