I am responding to JB in La Quinta. I'm not sure how old your post is, however I have come in contact with a 30 ish tall slender man who took it apon himself to physically correct my then 7 month old dog very harshly one day in August. I was stunned and intiminated by him. I said nothing, I just left. Recently Oct 18th his dog attacked my dog and knocked me down in the process. He blamed my dog for running. This time I did not back down. I told him to get his dog on a leash, he just attacked my dog and knocked me down. He never once left the bench where he sits texting. He doesn't have control of his dog, who is very aggressive. I took a picture of his dog and his car. Just so I can show it to an officer if it happens again. I know the city rules & reg's are enforced and I have made a complaint against him. Standing Strong In La Quinta!

I recently visited the dog park and experienced a very negative and upsetting event. Another dog owner felt another dog was playing too aggressively. Instead of removing his dog, he forcefully held the other dog down on the ground and then began yelling at and scolding the dog owner. He also used very inappropriate words and swore at the other dog owner, all the while holding the dog down to the ground by its neck. My own daughter became very upset saying "that man doesn't have to be so mean to that dog and that lady". And then she repeated what she heard this man say, which was the F word at the other dog owner. The other dog owner said "he wouldn't let my dog go, I was scared". The other dog owner was very shaken up. The other dog owners did not feel that the play was too aggressive. I approached the other dog owner and asked him to please not use such language around my children. Unfortunately we will not be going back to this dog park. This particular dog owner has upset many other dog owners as he will correct and discipline other peoples dogs. The city should post a number where people can call about these types of situations.
