We are happy to announce that we are one of the three schools that won!!!! Thank you so much for the support, encouragement, votes and prayers through this contest! We are so excited for the arrival of the Playground in a Box and can't wait to see the kids joy and exuberance as they imagine and create with it! Thank you to all who brought Fletcher Hills into the top three! It truly took a village and we are so thankful for the support we received!

I want to thank everyone who participated, voted, rallied and prayed through this entire contest! I can't express the gratitude I have for our dedicated preschool families who sought the support of local and out-of-state friends and family! The support of the church has been truly amazing and the support of the local community itself has been awe-inspiring! Thank you to each and every one of you who voted and invested your time and energy into this contest! I know we truly gave it our all... from beginning to end! The competition was tough, and each of the top four schools truly rocked the contest! I wish all four of us could win the Playground in a Box! Anxiously awaiting the results!!! Robin

So what is taking so long? People were voting and a running tally was displayed; the total should have been available Friday at 5pm Eastern Time. . Makes me wonder...

Thank YOU Robin.....I know how much work you put into this...you poured your heart into this contest. We will continue to pray for good news on the results. There is no doubt that FHPP deserves a spot in the top 3. Thank you for keeping us focused throughout the entire vote-off.

What is a Trunk-or-Treat? It's when several families get together at FHPP Parking lot, park their cars in the parking lot, open up the trunks of their cars, and kids come around to each car to Trunk-or-Treat instead of going house to house to Trick-or-Treat. There will be a bounce house, cardboard maze, games (like pumpkin bowling), the movie its the Great Pumpkin Chalie Brown, cake walk and more! It is fun, safe and all in opne place, Sunday night, October 31!! Will I see YOU there ?

I know we lost 1st place, but we have held the gap strong. Without media coverage, I think this speaks volumes for our community's dedication to stay on top. Keep voting!!

JP - thanks so much for the comment. We really pulled together -- our small SD community - and our nationwide community (with voting in MANY states) Robin - thank you for your commitment and honesty. We have done the right thing throughout this whole competition and it's disheartening to know that someone is angry enough to accuse us of cheating. We wanted to win this contest for OUR KIDS and we certainly would NOT feel good about that if we didn't win fairly. Thank you!

My name is Robin Watson and I am the Preschool Director for this preschool. I personally notified KABOOM and spoke with someone regarding the high school votes and being accused of cheating because of it. Everything is all squared away and Mr. Benrud's class of students are primarily seniors, who are 18. Please discontinue the cheating comments as we have been personally seeking to not only maintain open communication about this effort but taking the higher road and taking action about it as well. I assure you that there is no cheating going on. We are a faith-based preschool and would never, ever solicit votes is we doubted the integrity of the voters.

Wow I really can't believe someone would anonymously make a comment that insinuates cheating has been condoned by our church or preschool to try to win this contest. At least have the decency to add your name for goodness' sake! What a cowardly thing to do.

Its not dedication, its cheating! When mr. berunds home page is giving extra credit for high school students to create accounts and vote. Under terms and conditions you must be 18 to belong to kaboom. I wouldnt think that parents would agree that he would give extra credit ONLY to those students that were 18, as I know not all high school students are. Hmmmm, has anyone notified kaboom yet?

Hi Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Preschool fans! A reminder that voting is live now and your playspace is in the running. That means it's time to rally your community! Best of luck! The voting page can be found here: http://playspacefinder.kaboom.org/voting/elections/parents

I guess since the school is 50 years old, some of the students and their kids who attended FHPP AND are currently over 18 years old may be voting. But the truth is, this preschool is 50 years old! We have been an integral part of the community during this time! We have many parents, grandparents, businessmen/women in the community who have current or past connections with FHPP. The current ststus of our playgroiund equipment? Well there isn't ANY! It was taken down because it wasn't safe. Please understand that our community is aware of this and rallying for us! Thanks Fletcher Hills!

There is no funny business going on. We have been rallying our friends, family, community and network to register with Kaboom! and vote for Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Preschool everyday, just like the rules state! We have asked everyone we know to cast their vote. Some people are teachers and know high school students, some people and business men and women and have their companies voting and some people have their family voting across the country for our preschool. We are committed to the care we provide to our preschoolers, and winning this contest would be an amazing blessing to our preschool! If anyone is concerned with the process of this contest, please feel free to contact me directly at robin.watson@fhpc.org or be calling the preschool at 619-466-3326. I'd be more than happy to explain the contest, rules and the process of acquiring votes.

I don't think you need to worry about the students voting, since they are all preschoolers 5 & under....

I hope there isnt any funny business going on. Giving students extra credit to create Kaboom accounts and vote doesnt seem fair when it states in the terms and conditions that you must be 18 years old. I hope every single one of the students is 18. It wouldnt be fair to the other playspaces if they werent.

I love the playground in a box! The idea of free and creative play is becoming a lost art, and children need to have the ability to explore without regulations and umpires... Go Playground in a Box!!!

Yup, we are all fully aware of the prize and would be THRILLED to win the Playground in a Box! The preschoolers would LOVE building, imagining, exploring and creating with it each day!
