KidsUp! designed this playground by going to local elementary schools and asking the children what they would like to see in a playground. With the help of Leathers & Assoc., the playground was designed in 2000. In 2001, with the help of thousands of volunteers, businesses and children, the playground was built. The playground features a miniature ferry, a boat to climb in, digging equipment, a toddler area, a lighthouse, monkey bars, swings including 2 swings for children with disabilities, a sawmill, an airplane, frog and ladybug rock, a large starfish, and tons of art throughout the playground including children's handprints, a depiction of the history of Bainbridge through mosaic tiles, a gazebo, a giant eagle, and an Indian mask.
