This playground just opened at the San Francisco Zoo. It feels like a work of art; the play areas are physically separated by age group, but are also separated by geographic theme. A pond/marsh theme for the toddlers, an arctic for 2-5 year olds and a woodland/jungle for older children. There are some unique and innovative elements like hammocks, rope seats, indoor ladders and animal sculptures. There is something new to explore with every visit to this playground. For adult playground visitors, there is also a cafe right at the entrance to the play area, so adults can supervise while enjoying a beverage or snack. I did hear some adults share negative feedback that because the playground is so expansive with many large structures, there aren't natural site lines, making it difficult to supervise.
