"\The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation designed and installed a printing press-themed PlayBooster® playstructure to pay tribute to three pioneers in the printing field. All three men--Colonel Richard Morris Hoe, Johann Gutenburg and Aldo Manuzio--have had Bronx streets named in their honor. Kids ages 5 to 12 can tackle the concrete climbing blocks that look like rolls of paper. Or they can access this playable art event via the climbing ledge that eventually joins the sweeping curves of the roofs to look like paper traveling through the printer. Additional accents mimic the press’s cylinders. It only makes sense that a lettered panel offering spelling games is included in this kid-friendly homage to history.
